Here are the responsibilities and duties you’ll have as a technician at Joe Cooper Ford Yukon:

• Receive and carry out repair orders efficiently and accurately and by factory and dealership standards.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and repair them as authorized, documenting your work appropriately.
• Follow and maintain housekeeping and safety policies and standards.

• Work with the Parts Department to obtain all needed parts.

• Road-test vehicles to ensure the repair is a solution to the customer’s complaint.

• Advise service advisor of additional work needed, of work that’s not needed, or if the magnitude of repair is incompatible with the time scheduled to carry it out.

• Check the quality of work.

• Attend trainings and classes.

• Keep customer’s vehicles clean.

• Stay up-to-date on factory technical bulletins.

• Know, understand, and follow all federal, state, and local regulations that apply to service and repair.
